While it’s a TV movie so it’s not exactly Oscar-bait, If These Walls Could Talk 2 is at least it is a solid piece of Emmy-bait. 7.4/10
The Journey is a passionate, personal film that lacks a level of refinement.
Is Summerland a great movie? No. But it is a good movie with a budget, good cinematography and to my delighted surprise, a very happy ending. 7.8/10
I have incredible respect for Fish and Elephant. It is a true a trailblazer of cinematic depictions of queer women in mainland China. 5.6/10
I did enjoy Ammonite. But while it is a good movie, it never ends up being fully great. 67.9/10
I don’t want to be too mean towards Maggie and Annie. This movie felt earnest in its intention to make a movie with queer representation and love. Sadly, it’s still not very good. 2.3/10
Signature Move had the potential to be really funny. However, the bizarre choice to direct the film in a style more suited to drama really stopped the script from reaching its full potential. 5.9/10
Summertime is a beautiful, romantic film. The main romance is a treat to watch and the rest of the film’s themes and plots are well-executed. 8.3/10
