Basically if you wanna see this movie for lesbian sex, it’s worth it. If you’re neutral to negative on that aspect though, Below Her Mouth has nothing else to offer. 5.9/10

Carmen and Lola is an above average coming-of-age film. The few problems I have with it don’t overrule the positives of this movie. It has great performances and characters I care about. Carmen and Lola feels alive as a movie. 7.5/10
Carol is a beautiful movie that appealed to both the lesbian in me and the film snob in me. Anchored by great performances and a great director, Carol is one of few mainstream lesbian movie in which the lesbians get to be happy. 9.4/10
For someone just discovering the genre, Imagine Me & You is a really excellent choice for an early feature as well as one to revisit when you’re feeling down and just need something that makes you feel warm and happy. 9.4/10
This movie has really lofty goals of making a political statement and doing a shocking, genre switch but the talent behind the camera is not such that it can realistically achieve those goals. 3.5/10
If you want to see lesbian sex scenes directed by an actual lesbian then this movie exists. However, Inescapable has no merit as a movie on any other front. 4.6/10
Without exaggeration, The Handmaiden is the best WLW film I’ve seen and though I haven’t seen all of them (yet), I feel pretty confident saying this is one of the all-time bests of the entire genre. 9.7/10

The Guest House is another jewel in the crown of shitty lesbian movies made by male filmmakers. 3/10
