The Mountain tells a human story without managing to fuck it up. But it also doesn’t exactly provide enough drama to make it a particularly engaging sit. 5.4/10

With the obvious exception of The Handmaiden (which has the unfair advantage of being the best WLW movie), The Night Watch is the best adaption of a Sarah Waters novel that I’ve seen. 8.4/10
There are positives to Elvis & Madonna but even those positives come out of a place of there just not being enough trans narratives so I’ll take what I can get. 5.4/10
You and I is very bad. The film is tacky in a way that dates it but also makes it a timeless example of bad taste. 3.2/10
Even if I found subtitles for Xdeal, I can’t imagine they’d change how I feel about the film. This is just a silly piece of softcore porn that doesn’t really respect women and has no likeable characters. 2.1/10
Everything in this movie works. Go watch Pariah. It’s a phenomenal and important movie. 9.1/10
There was a lot of unrealized potential here and that was really, really frustrating. Even though when I watched the movie, I sometimes spoke my idea of how to improve this movie aloud to my laptop, NONE of my suggestions were taken and the movie is worse for it. 3.7/10
I absolutely think Circumstance is worth a watch but be prepared to feel hollow and hopeless after it’s over. 8.2/10
