There’s nothing particularly wrong with the film. I’m just of an age and in an era where depicting lesbians as normal people doesn’t really interest me. I know lesbians are normal people. Now show me lesbians being absolute freaks. 5.5/10

There’s a lot to love about Set Me Free. If you haven’t seen it, I really recommend tracking down this 23 year old French Canadian coming-of-age film. 8/10

My best guess about what The Sex Monster is trying to “say” is that women can’t have a normal relationship to sexuality. I hope I’m wrong on that but that’s very much what the film reads as. 5.0/10
Freeway 2 will not be to everyone’s taste but for all its flaws, I had a great time watching its gritty insanity. 6.2/10
Memento Mori is an overall successful horror movie that makes great use of its small budget by choosing to focus on characters. 6.8/10
Better Than Chocolate’s depiction of queer characters and the queer community is a decade ahead of its time. The bad news is the movie is 20 years old now so it does feel at least a decade out of date. 6.0/10
Subversive, funny and an absolute classic, But I’m a Cheerleader is one of the most successful queer romantic comedies ever made. 9.3/10
