Despite its run time being in the 90 minute range, the film felt slow and far too long. It’s frustrating because I think Replay could be an interesting movie if it just did more. But it didn’t. 4.9/10

I think I would’ve really enjoyed The Monkey’s Mask novel. But the movie adaption of said novel? Meh. 4.7/10
Like any subgenre, there are good films and bad ones. The Gymnast isn’t really either. It’s a pretty middling movie overall. 6.0/10
Saying that Summer Lover is like a bad soap opera would be an insult to bad soap operas. 2.6/10
The Countess has a base level of competence that stops me from calling it out and out bad. However, personally, I was greatly disappointed by this film. 5.9/10
Puccini for Beginners is bad but not notably bad. It’s not interesting enough for that. It’s just another failed romantic comedy. How bland. 4.6/10
Holy crap, Love My Life is literally the cutest WLW movie I’ve ever seen. 7.9/10
Shot by such a bland filmmaker as Chris Columbus, the personality and edge necessary to make Rent work and make it connect with disaffected young people is totally lost. 4.7/10
Kissing Jessica Stein is one of few well-done looks at bisexuality, sexual experimentation and the difference between romantic and sexual attraction. 7.9/10
I’m reminded of that quote, “never half-ass two things, full-ass one thing.” Most genre-blending movies, including today’s movie, So Close, fall into the first category of half-assing two things. 4.9/10
