I’m a big fan of how The Quietude depicts its fucked up content. They underplay it. There’s this sense that the characters in the film and perhaps the film itself don’t quite realize how fucked up this all is. And that juxtaposition makes it all the more disturbing. 7.5/10

The medium chosen to tell this story and the quality of directing brings down Stud Life’s vibrant, likeable and realistic protagonist. 5.1/10
I didn’t hate spending 86 minutes in this story. But there’s simply more negatives to the film that I can pinpoint than positives. I like Love Island’s energy. But really, that’s about it. 4.5/10
Fishnet is a pretty painful one to sit through. It’s cheap, cliche, unkind and lacks any clear audience. 2.0/10
Nice though it is to look at, Bonnie & Bonnie doesn’t bring much new to the gay couple crime spree subgenre. 5.8/10
If nothing else, Capital I is a singular viewing experience. It’s inscrutable, pretentious and very low budget. 2.3/10
The Affair constructed a beautiful world. And then inhabited it with some seriously dull characters. 4.4/10
Girl’s Blood is a movie that really enjoys looking at women. But it has very little understanding of the fact that women are complex people. Plus, the fight scenes aren’t even that good. 3.1/10
Even while looking directly at it, The Adored failed to grab my full attention or leave a strong impression. 2.4/10
Contracted is a nasty, disturbing horrifying movie that I regret watching. So now I’m left with the question: Is it a fair to criticize a horror film over the fact that it did indeed horrify me? 6/10
