Loss Prevention got a few laughs out of me and put me in a good mood. I enjoyed seeing a professional wrestler depict one of the best fathers in lesbian cinema. But ultimately, I don’t think this is quite good enough to get the passing grade. 4.9/10
Is With a Kiss I Die a good movie? Of course not! Look at that plot summary! But this film brought me so much joy. 4.4/10
Not once did I even smile watching Idle Thoughts. It was irritating more than anything. I can’t call this a successful project in any way. 3.1/10
The best way I can describe The Invisible Mother is a David Lynch film by way of John Waters. That’s a stressful and upsetting combination of influences! 7.2/10
This is whatever the reverse of biting off more than you can chew. Good Manners bit off exactly as much as it needed and then also added creative flair to every single bite. 7.1/10
Night Comes On is unusual in how sensitively it treats this story of criminal youth and revenge. And there’s something extremely admirable there. But when it comes down to personal preference, I’ve never been one for subtlety. 6.7/10
I didn’t realize how little representation there is for messy, mean sapphic women until I watched Girls Like Magic. Mean queers to the front, this movie is for you. 6.6/10
The subtly of And Breathe Normally is impressive. There’s nuance, emotion and kindness in this cold and mundane universe. 6.8/10
Without budget, it is an uphill battle to make a good movie. Did Devil’s Cove brave that incline and struggle through its limited means to make a good piece of art? Nope! This movie is very bad! 1.8/10
