Princess Cyd’s unusual style and sheer talent from all aspects of filmmaking makes this a very unique and special film. I really enjoyed spending 96 minutes with these increasingly realized characters. 8.8/10

In addition to its success in representation, Boy Meets Girl is just a good film. It’s funny, charming and romantic. 7/10
AWOL has an unsatisfactory ending to an average story. At no point did the film rise about being exceedingly average.
I’ve seen a lot of queer movies in my time clearly made for a straight audience. That’s nothing new. What is new is the lengths to which Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story went to cater to a straight audience. 4.4/10
Overall, Lovesong is a really solid little movie. I can’t imagine it will be anyone’s favourite WLW film but it’s also fairly free of overt flaws. 6.6/10
The Watermelon Woman is one of the best WLW films of the 90s. Please watch it. 8.9/10
Like any subgenre, there are good films and bad ones. The Gymnast isn’t really either. It’s a pretty middling movie overall. 6.0/10

A Perfect Ending is a well-performed drama with enough intelligence and talent to portray topics of WLW sexuality and death without falling into one of the many pitfalls both those plots have. 7.6/10
Appropriate Behavior is one of the best WLW comedies I’ve seen in a while. It’s also one of the best WLW comedies full stop. 9/10
