I just don’t understand why this movie about teenage girls lacked so much insight into their subject matter and didn’t seem to do anything to solve it such as talking to real life teenage girls. 3.9/10

It’s in the Water isn’t good. However, it’s also not bad enough for me to get particularly passionate about. It’s just a mild failure. 4.4/10
I’m pretty sure Female Perversions thinks it’s smart. It thinks it’s saying something and making a point. It is not. It’s neither smart nor sexy nor memorable. 4.7/10
While the aesthetic dates it, the story and especially the romance of The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love hold up as something timeless. 7.4/10
Booksmart is a very successful, modern high school comedy complete with a diverse cast of characters and an emphasis on female relationships. 9/10
Puccini for Beginners is bad but not notably bad. It’s not interesting enough for that. It’s just another failed romantic comedy. How bland. 4.6/10
Simply put, Addicted to Fresno isn’t funny enough to get away with how ultimately pointless the story is nor how unlikable its characters are. 4.5/10
Everything in this movie works. Go watch Pariah. It’s a phenomenal and important movie. 9.1/10
Anatomy of a Love Seen had some good moments, solid acting and a meta but weirdly good final sex scene. However, none of that was enough to make my opinion of this film more than a resounding “meh.” 5.3/10
Shot by such a bland filmmaker as Chris Columbus, the personality and edge necessary to make Rent work and make it connect with disaffected young people is totally lost. 4.7/10
