There are positives to Elvis & Madonna but even those positives come out of a place of there just not being enough trans narratives so I’ll take what I can get. 5.4/10

My best guess about what The Sex Monster is trying to “say” is that women can’t have a normal relationship to sexuality. I hope I’m wrong on that but that’s very much what the film reads as. 5.0/10
Do I Love You? turned out exactly how the filmmakers had in mind. Whether or not the movie is for you, it is a movie that’s certain of its identity and does what it set out to do. 5.3/10
Burn Burn Burn is a really solid movie. Much as there are successful moments of comedy, it is more likely to make you messy cry than laugh. 7.3/10
Comedies like Girl Gets Girl are the exactly reason why the word “zany” was invented. 5.0/10
Freeway 2 will not be to everyone’s taste but for all its flaws, I had a great time watching its gritty insanity. 6.2/10
There’s an honesty and realism I find in Happy End that American films with similar themes lack. 7.7/10
Life Partners very much is one of the new generation of queer movies where queerness is matter of fact and made by actual LGBTQ* people in all their knowledge of actual queer experience. And, it’s funny! 7.5/10
Happiest Season is overall, a charming holiday comedy that uses familiar comedic beats to tell a queer story. 6.8/10
Turns out, maybe a gay male director isn’t the best person to make a movie about radical feminists. 4.1/10
