Water Lilies got fairly good reviews from various critics so maybe I’m being too harsh. But personally, I couldn’t see past my own displeasure in regards to the sexualization and objectification of minors to enjoy it. 4.9/10
The fact that so many WLW movies since have been inspired by Desert Hearts or used it as a jumping off point is a positive, not a negative. Desert Hearts laid the foundation for WLW romances movies decades to come. 8.1/10
It has little valid artistic merit, but if you want to see two beautiful women engaging in a bunch of well-shot sex scenes, Room in Rome exists.
Madchen in Uniform was banned by the Nazis. Nothing I can say is a more positive review than that fact. 8.1/10
