This is a very beautiful movie about an impossibly nostalgic summer on the cusp between youth and adulthood. Sure, it’s slow and a little light on any sort of nutritional value, but gosh, if it isn’t pretty. 6.2/10

One of the worst things a film can be for me is a medicore biopic. Nothing feels less impressive or creative that a biographical movie that’s just okay. 5.3/10
Between Summer and Fall is above average, but not an all-time great. I appreciate its dialogue and character work, but it doesn’t stand out enough from this crowded subgenre of similarly plotted and shot movies. 6.1/10
If you haven’t seen an abundance of women self-actualizes and also kisses a woman films, sure, you might as well see A Room of My Own. If you’ve already seen enough where that plot sounds superfluous to you, I cannot say that A Room of My Own is a film to seek out on its individual merits. 5.8/10
I try not to stereotype nations or national cinema, but this is one of the most classically French movies of all time. All comes second to romantic and sexual passion in Looking For Cheyenne. 5.7/10
I expected Immacolata and Concetta: The Other Jealousy to be far more sleazy than it was. Instead, the film is fairly underplayed. I’ll be honest, I found myself missing some of the sleaze. 5.5/10
I don’t think this movie adds much to the conversation in regards to the film’s two major themes: grief, and restaurant ownership. 5.1/10
Prom Dates is like if Booksmart was designed by a Disney+ committee. That’s all you need to know, really. 5.5/10
Instead of going for big moments, The Accident presents a subtler, more real look at some nice, boring lesbians, a messy pair of heterosexuals and a disaffected teen who could really use some kindness. 5.7/10
