I’m really struggling to determine whether or not I like this film or would recommend it. Because The Children’s Hour is in many ways objectively good but also deeply homophobic, sexist and made me sad.

Basically if you wanna see this movie for lesbian sex, it’s worth it. If you’re neutral to negative on that aspect though, Below Her Mouth has nothing else to offer. 5.9/10

Objectively I shouldn’t like this movie. I hate the main character, it’s sexist and also it completely changes direction halfway through. And yet, I found Fascination to be a very enjoyable movie. There’s no accounting for taste, I guess. 5.7/10

Passion is a movie I like far more than it deserves. This movie is frustrating, uneven and confusing. Unfortunately, I’m basically a magpie and this movie is the cinematic equivalent of a shiny thing. 6.1/10

Go Fish is a film that was the peak of trendy back in 1994 and is now becoming something of a period piece. It is interesting to see this very 90’s depiction of lesbian culture and fascinating to see the ways the culture has changed and the ways it has stayed the same. 6.1/10

The Firefly is a well-made movie that achieved what it set out to do. However, I don’t want to ever watch it again because it is sad. 6.1/10

It’s mislabeled as a comedy but as a drama with some light comic relief, The Feels generally succeeds.

Anyone remember those overly long, brutal Peter Griffin vs. Chicken fight sequences in Family Guy? That’s basically what this movie is. Except Catfight is better because it was queer ladies and also isn’t Family Guy. 5.8/10

As a WLW/lesbian film, Sand Dollars only partially succeeds. As a 90 minute advertisement for the Domincan Republic, it is much more successful. 6.2/10

In the months that have passed between me seeing Frauensee and writing this review, the only thing that sticks in my mind about this movie is how spectacularly average it is. I have never seen a movie that’s so aggressively 5/10. It is a remarkably unremarkable film.
