As some sort of standalone TV episode, this could’ve worked. But weak as The Girl’s story is, even the cool and sexy vibes can’t sustain it for a full movie runtime. 4.6/10
Films piss me off when they’re offensive or feel like they’re not trying. Intentions isn’t offensive and I think everyone was trying their hardest. Tragically, all this trying just didn’t lead to any success. 2.5/10
The never ending presence of the male gaze really tanks this movie. There’s some deep and major family drama in the film. But it constantly comes second to depicting women as sexy. 3.7/10
There’s so many issues of taste and morals worthy of critique in Helga, She Wolf of Stilberg. But my main issue with the film is how half-assed it is. If you’re gonna go there, go there! Make a movie too extreme for me to watch. Helga wasn’t that at all. 3.2/10
If nothing else, Men Not Allowed is one of very few WLW movies with a theme song. Western cinema, take note. If you’re gonna make a bad movie, at go balls to the wall on the editing. And give it a theme song. I think every WLW movie should have a theme song. 3.1/10
long Came Wanda is the first WLW film I’ve seen that includes the Covid-19 pandemic. And especially because this movie is very much a rom-com, I think maybe they shouldn’t have. 4.0/10
It was pretty disappointing watching a movie subtitled Lesbian Love and it being as overall straight as T-Bird at Ako is. 2.2/10
