A Question of Love is my first choice recommendation for a pro-gay movie to show your grandparents both in terms of the message it sends and the quality of the finished product. 6.3/10

So do I let ten minutes of creepy, straight male indulgence ruin the rest of this three-hour film and all its positives? Not entirely. However, I’d feel a lot less conflicted about this undoubtedly very good film if those damn sex scenes had simply been cut down a bit. 8.6/10
An ambitious directorial debut from Shamim Sarif, The World Unseen has some issues but is at the end of the day, a strong and engaging film. 7.8/10
Unlike most happy WLW movies, Nina’s Heavenly Delights, did not make me feel a lingering desire for a perfect girlfriend. Instead, I finished the film mostly craving really good curry. 6.4/10
Trippy, sexy and bloody, Vampyros Lesbos is a good example of the kind of exploitation film I like. 6.4/10
I do not want this review to come off as though I am making exceptions for Rafiki’s quality because of its difficult and singular origin. If you look at the movie without regarding its importance to African and Kenyan LGBT representation and status as a brave trailblazer, you’re still left with a strong and enjoyable movie. 8.6/10
Kyss Mig is a solid, romantic love story with a happy ending. It’s an an enjoyable watch and a good choice of a movie to pick if you’re a lady on a date with another lady. 7.2/10
Subversive, funny and an absolute classic, But I’m a Cheerleader is one of the most successful queer romantic comedies ever made. 9.3/10
If you’re going to watch just one WLW vampire movie, first of all, I can’t relate to you; we have nothing in common. Second of all, make that movie The Hunger. 9.1/10
Cloudburst is just delightful. It’s a sweet, funny, touching film. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll be indignant and upset about the troubles queer senior citizens can face. 9.3/10
