Most sapphic movies that are bad and cheap are just boring. Butterfly Crush ain’t boring. It’s weird as hell and so incompetent it almost reaches the uncanny valley Yeah, the core love story here is between a man and a woman. But please, let me have this one. I need it. 2.1/10

Chuck Chuck Baby was an unusual delight of a movie. A queer musical set in a chicken factory. The final product is so assured, so well-done and so delightful. 7.2/10

Liberty’s Secret is a movie made by and starring Musical Theatre Kids. Each of the cast and the movie itself is very earnest, very perky and a little amateur. But of course, they’re not Musical Theatre Kids. They’re Musical Theatre Adults so that’s less charming still. 3.1/10
Girltrash: All Night Long is a lighthearted musical comedy with exactly no edge that didn’t make me laugh once. 4.2/10
Girlfriend is both the worst WLW movie I’ve seen in a while and yet also the most fun I’ve had watching a WLW movie in a while. 3.5/10
