Love Lies Bleeding is an engaging, nasty and occasionally muddled crime picture. It’s a great addition to WLW movie canon because of how much it does that’s unique. 7.5/10

Maybe this was a genuinely groundbreaking film back in 2013. But in 2024? It just feels dated, self-involved and most damning of all, not funny. 3/10
Is With a Kiss I Die a good movie? Of course not! Look at that plot summary! But this film brought me so much joy. 4.4/10
Compared to the other works of one or more Coen brother, this film would rank near the bottom. Luckily, a lesser Coen film is still a decent time. 6.2/10
I’m glad that this film exists and that it was so successful depicting queer youth in such a harmless way. It’s hard to say I fully enjoyed it, though. As an adult, I am simply not the audience. 5.8/10
When Time Got Louder balances heart and actual knowledge and care in the depiction of a family with an autistic child. The solid centre means that even in the moments when the film flounders, the sum total of the film successful. 6.5/10
Not once did I even smile watching Idle Thoughts. It was irritating more than anything. I can’t call this a successful project in any way. 3.1/10
Behind Closed Doors covers so much ground in terms of plot and drama that could happen to gay women. But it completely fails to explore the possibility that being gay sometimes really does mean being happy. 2.6/10
Nyad is one of those movies that when graded on the larger scale of all movies ever, is pretty middling. But for a WLW film, it’s above average. 6.6/10
Lasse Hallström is not stretching himself with Hilma. But even him phoning it in still amounts in a decent film. 6.4/10
