The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant is fantastic. A great script, great cast and excellent direction makes this an easy transition from stage to screen. 9.2/10
Finally, a movie for lesbian Horse Girls. Wish a little more happened in Of Girls and Horses, though. 5.3/10
Madchen in Uniform is a good movie however, it does suffer from being not quite as good nor radical as the original. 6.8/10
There’s an honesty and realism I find in Happy End that American films with similar themes lack. 7.7/10
The Heiresses is just really good. Its direction makes a simple, well done story absolutely sing. 8.3/10
Ghosted is one of those bad movies where throughout most of the film I just kept asking, what is the point of this movie? 3.8/10
Sonja is ultimately a competent but unremarkable coming of age film. 5.2/10
Four Minutes is a well-crafted drama with excellent directing and good character work. Don’t go into it expecting and laughs or romance, though. 8.2/10
My main problem with the admittedly competent film is that it failed to grab and hold my entire attention.
