My main problem with the admittedly competent film is that it failed to grab and hold my entire attention.

Had Drool made Imogen the main character, I think I would have loved it. As it stands, Drool is a seriously mixed bag. 5.2/10
Even grading on the curve of TV movies, An Unexpected Love feels extremely predictable and has little new to offer. 5.0/10
Better Than Chocolate’s depiction of queer characters and the queer community is a decade ahead of its time. The bad news is the movie is 20 years old now so it does feel at least a decade out of date. 6.0/10
f you just need a movie to kill 90 minutes, Eloise is a good option. There’s nothing particularly original about the film but there’s nothing terrible here either. 5.5/10
AWOL has an unsatisfactory ending to an average story. At no point did the film rise about being exceedingly average.
While The Dancer looks very nice, the writing lets the movie down. This is such a bland and by-the-numbers biopic. 5.6/10
The Chambermaid Lynn wants two things. It desperately wants to be Amelie. It also wants you to take it completely seriously. Those two wants are directly contradictory. 5.2/10
Like any subgenre, there are good films and bad ones. The Gymnast isn’t really either. It’s a pretty middling movie overall. 6.0/10
