he Half of It won’t make my top ten list but it’s a perfectly charming teen WLW movie where nobody dies and there’s no gratuitous sex scenes. You could do a lot worse. 7.6/10

Princess Cyd’s unusual style and sheer talent from all aspects of filmmaking makes this a very unique and special film. I really enjoyed spending 96 minutes with these increasingly realized characters. 8.8/10
In addition to its success in representation, Boy Meets Girl is just a good film. It’s funny, charming and romantic. 7/10
Zero Chou’s Spider Lilies is a film that is absolutely greater than the sum of its parts. 7.6/10
If you’re fine with years’ long lesbian seduction and literary discussions used as foreplay, absolutely give Vita & Virginia a try. 8.3/10
I found Almost Adults charming and funny but it certainly doesn’t hurt that it’s incredibly easy for me to see myself in these characters. 6.6/10
While the pacing gets iffy in the third act, this is a character and a story I remained invested in until the ending credits rolled. 8.1/10
If you want a WLW movie that makes you feel disturbed and sad, Sister My Sister is a pretty safe bet. 7.3/10
Overall, Lovesong is a really solid little movie. I can’t imagine it will be anyone’s favourite WLW film but it’s also fairly free of overt flaws. 6.6/10
The Watermelon Woman is one of the best WLW films of the 90s. Please watch it. 8.9/10
